A Pink Butterfly

Oh, this summer has been flying by!  I've taken a break from posting
cards to just enjoy our short summer here in Wisconsin.  I really liked
how this card turned out, and it qualifies for three challenges.  I am
entering it at CASology for the cue word of "running."  I used a
running stitch.  I really liked this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
It's CAS and monochromatic for the challenge at The Paper Players.
I realize it's fairly close to Jen's card, I hope that's okay.
I will be giving it to my Mom for her birthday, and her favorite
color is pink.

Paper: PTI White, SU Pink Pirouette & Regal Rose
Dies:  PTI Stitching Lines & Life is Beautiful
Additional Supplies:  DMC Embroidery Floss #'s 225, 602, 961, 962, 963

With Love

I finally finished my BORING project for work, so I
should have more time for fun cardmaking.  Anything
related to paper is automatically delegated to me at work ;(.
This card is for the "wood" challenge at CASology, and
the "anything goes" challenge at Simon Says Stamp
Wednesday Challenge. I used the SU Hardwood background
stamp and inked with the same ink and cardstock colors, so
hopefully the background is subtle enough to still be CAS.

Supplies ~
Stamps:  PTI 2010 Love Tags, Tag Its # 11
Paper:  PTI White & Soft Stone, SU Poppy Parade &  Basic Gray
Ink:  PTI Soft Stone, SU Basic Gray & Pure Poppy

Celebrate Today

Happy Anniversary CASology ~ Tomorrow is challenge 100!
It is my favorite challenge, as it gives so much freedom to
interpret the cue word any way you choose ~ no color or sketch
requirements.  I've had a lot of fun with some challenges coming
up with a different twist on the traditional way of interpretation.
The cue word this week is "Anniversary." I am also playing over
at Darnell's new challenge ~ "NBUS."  I am loving the new wet
paint sets at PTI, and the sentiment is from the newest set ~
Wet Paint III.  I stamped the sentiment twice ~ in basic gray
and pure poppy, since I wasn't happy with my first stamping
effort.  Rather than waste cardstock, I tried to salvage it and
am pleasantly surprised at how it turned out.

Supplies ~
Stamps:  PTI Wet Paint III
Paper:  PTI White, Soft Stone & Pure Poppy
Ink:  PTI Pure Poppy & SU Basic Gray
Dies:  PTI Coffee Cozy Details, Heart Prints, Limitless Layers - Hearts Stitches & Limitless Layers 2 1/4" Hearts

A Reverse Confetti Sketch

I always need to replenish my stock of
"Thank you" cards as the end of the school
year approaches.  I used the sketch at
Reverse Confetti.  I highlighted the stamp
with circle dies and used more patterned
paper than I normally do.

Father's Day Cards

I am the designated card maker at work.  This year
these are the cards that the babies in the neonatal
intensive care unit I work at will be giving their Dads.
I am submitting them at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday
Challenge for their "Father's Day / Masculine" challenge.  The
colors in two of the cards are the same as this week's
ColourQ challenge.  The patterned paper I used has
all of the colors for this week's challenge. I made
multiples of each of these designs, using up some
of my retired Stampin Up paper.

Supplies ~
Paper:  All Stampin Up ~ retired patterned papers, cardstock to match the patterned paper

A Mother's Day Flower

I made this card for my Mom for Mother's Day,
and luckily it fits for two current challenges ~ at
CASology and Less is More.  The challenge at
CASology is "flower" and at Less is More the
challenge is "die cuts."  The leaves are die cut.

I have not had any time to post lately, even though
I have been making cards.  My life has been turned
upside down in the past few weeks.  My son needed a
rather intensive workup following a routine physical;
I have been taking a class on advanced energy healing;
and we had to say "Good Bye" to a beloved kitty.
Despite all of this craziness, there is so much to be
grateful for.  The best of it is that my son has received
a clean bill of health.  Our kitty is no longer suffering
and is in kitty heaven now.

Week 173
We have a recipe this week and so we would like you to include a
DIE CUT

Electric ... Blue

One more tonight for the "electric" challenge at CASology,
using a bit of "grunge" for the challenge at Addicted to CAS.
My "electric" is the electric blue for the die cut sentiment.
"Anything goes" is the theme at Seize the Birthday and at

Swirling By

I have two cards for four challenges.  The first one is for CASology
and CAS(E) this Sketch.  The theme at CASology is "Electric."
My thought was that there is often lightning with a tornado.
This card will be perfect for my son, who still has "storm-chaser" on
list of what he wants to be when he grows up ;(.

My second card is a birthday card I made for my sister.
I am entering it at Seize the Birthday ~ where anything goes,
where anything goes.  Truthfully I made it for the "garden"
challenge last week at CASology, but did not have time
to post it.

I am skipping the supply lists, as time is in short supply these days.

CAS Birthday

Two quick birthday cards for parties that my son
will be going to.  No stamping on the outside ~
only die cuts and patterned paper.  It felt good
to make a few fun cards.  I have been working
A LOT, not by choice ; (.  I have also been working
on the Mother's Day cards for work, as well as,
a papercrafting project for work, which is not fun,
just busy work.  I am entering these cards at
Seize the Birthday where anything goes and at
the challenge is keep it clean and simple.

Not sure why it looks crooked here ~ it doesn't IRL!

Supplies ~
Paper:  PTI White, SU Summer Starfruit, Echo Park That's My Boy & Scoot Red/ Blue
Dies:  PTI By the Numbers, Mat Stacks 1 & 7, Layerz Mat Stacks 1 & 7

Wet ... Paint

The cue word this week at CASology is "wet."
As you look at my cards, you may be
wondering what these cards have to do with
"wet."  "Wet Paint" is the name of the stamp set used
for all of the sentiments.  I made four cards as part
of a card set.  This card set along with this one
will be part of the end of the year teacher gifts.
The "happy day" card is also being entered at
Less is More where the theme is
"A Touch of Turquoise."

Paper:  PTI White, Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet & SU Pumpkin Pie
